| Abstract: | Multidisciplinary research and communication offers many advantages and has become essential in modern research settings. Still it faces various problems that it must overcome in order to reach its full potential. These problems often lie in the communication between the various disciplines involved in e.g. a project. A web-based knowledge platform could offer a solution to these problems in communication. The question of how such a platform could be created was answered through the analyses of interviews from two different cases that are multidisciplinary in nature. Furthermore a workshop and a focus group were held as an iteration and these results were translated into a seven step approach towards developing a web-based knowledge platform.
