Abstract:This study examines the book and method “Kracht voor Tien” by Linda van den Driessche (2016). We live in a much demanding and complex society. For optimal functioning in this society, it is important that people have sufficient resilience and inner power. This method tries to contribute to increasing resilience and inner strenght. The central concept of the method is daily scoring and monitoring on ten behavioural principles. The goal of the scoring and monitoring proces, is to improve in the ten behavioural principles and with that increase inner power and resilience. In this study four participant have scored and monitored them selves for a period of two weeks, on ten behavioural principles. Also, before and after the method the degree of resilience of the participants is measured. The purpose of this study is, to explore whether the participants experience a higher degree of resilience and inner strenght, after two weaks of scoring and monitoring. The results show that at least half of the participants expierence a higher degree of resilience after the method “Kracht voor tien”. The analysis of the data also revealed that all participants scored higher on at least one or more behavioural principles. Since this is a first explorative research, it is recommended to do further qualitative- or quantitative research on larger scale.
