| Abstract: | Company X recently built a new warehouse but was still experiencing issues with efficiency on the inbound side of the plant operation. Driven by cost reduction and improving the employee processes, they wanted an advice that could help them improve their inbound logistical operation. Our research resulted in an advice that changes the layout of existing storage space and their storage policies. Besides this, the suggested alterations lead to reduced travel distances for order pickers and an overall smoother warehouse operation. |
