Abstract:The Asset Management division of Royal Schiphol group wants to plan replacements of assets over longer planning horizons, so that these activities are known longer in advance. This should allow the Operations department to better prepare for these high-impact replacements and to better integrate them in the daily processes. Moreover, the Asset Management division wants to know how these replacements can be clustered in order to minimize the impact on operations. An Integer Linear Programming model that plans the replacements of assets over a 60-year horizon was developed.
