| Abstract: | This thesis researches the outsourcing decision of transport management within a company. Transport management (as the managing of outbound distribution) is outsourced to a logistics service provider. Internally, several problems occur within the process that is tangent with the transport management process of the LSP. As a result, this thesis performs exploratory research on the problems in the process and on the agreements made. Furthermore, a literature reserach is performed on outsourcing decisions and service levels within logistics, in order to optimize the current outsourcing relation, and a cost-analysis is performed. |
