Abstract:This study proposes an approximate 4-bit by 2-bit multiplier, based on an existing approximate 2-bit by 2-bit multiplier [Kulkarni, 2011]. During implementation, problems were encountered with optimization on gate-level, rendering the results of the study inconclusive.
