Abstract: | This research is to find out which configuration of capabilities are beneficial for Dutch high tech startups and SMEs to perform well internationally. The capabilities researched in this study are; substantive and dynamic marketing capabilities, substantive and dynamic technology capabilities, substantive and dynamic networking capabilities. Different Dutch high tech companies where contacted to participate by filling out a(n) (online) survey. This data was converted into the configurations with the use of the QCA method. Four different configurations of capabilities where found to have a positive effect on the international performance of these companies. To gather additional information about the companies and their capabilities five semi-structured interviews were held with different companies under one of the found configurations. |
