Abstract: | The maritime sector has a bad reputation regarding the on-time performance of vessels. The Logistic Service Provider in this research is struggling to contract the best performing carrier on each Shipping Lane. At this moment a carrier is contracted based on price alone, as no up-to-date performance is available for the different carriers. This research will provide a solution for the visualization and comparison of current carrier performance. As similar companies are likely to use different data and systems, a general framework was developed that addresses the steps to be taken in order to visualize and rank carrier performance. |
