Abstract: | Auto-correlation demodulator for Double differential PSK is a known offset tolerant demodulator. However, its performance is dependent on the bandwidth of the low pass filter used prior to the demodulator. To have large offset tolerance the bandwidth of this filter needs to be wide which includes more noise and degrades BER performance. To overcome this problem, an extension to the DDPSK ACD demodulator has been proposed in the CAES group which is the main focus of this assignment. The goal of this project is complete design of the digital part of the receiver for such a system and investigate existing trade-offs. |
