In total, 16 leaders are measured analyzed over 1545 minutes of team meeting recordings. Meetings are recorded with cameras and different EI behaviors are coded with the use of “The Observer XT” and the EI behavioral codebook. Two of the four EI behavioral categories, ‘Expressing emotions’ and ‘Regulating emotions’, influence the leader effectiveness a lot more than the other two, ‘Utilizing emotions’ and ‘Understanding emotions’. Leadership effectiveness was positively, statistically significant related to team effectiveness, with meeting effectiveness being a positively mediator of this relationship.
