Abstract: | The aging of the society causes an increase in dementia patients, who desire to remain living on their own. Their disease progression can be monitored by new technologies, but what is the state of the art in the development of these monitoring technologies? It turned out that four types of technologies (wearable, wireless, Kinect, and a mobile app) can detect four types of symptoms, belonging to activities of daily living, agitation, walking, and sensations. However, the reliability of these technologies is low. |
