Abstract: | Every fourth stroke survivor is suffering from severe post-stroke fatigue and no officially recognized treatment exists yet, even though it might have an influence on the rehabilitation process as well as the health outcome. Illness perceptions might contribute to the health outcome as well. Among other diseases, the two variables of fatigue and illness perceptions have been associated. In a prospective longitudinal observational cohort study, the two variables are explored with regards to their individual development over time as well as their shared relationship among stroke patients. |
