Abstract: | The goal of this research is to support Sweco by designing a generalized Risk-based maintenance model that provides a maintenance planning for any asset while considering the aspects of risk, cost, and performance. An objective function optimizes the total risk, cost, and performance for each decision variable, that determines the plan year for executing maintenance. The generalized Risk-based maintenance model is applied for road maintenance. The results of the maintenance planning concerning the current maintenance planning show a lower risk and cost, and higher performance. Besides, the maintenance planning contributes a realistic cost distribution within the planning horizon. |
