Abstract: | This research was conducted to explore the way the media uses fake news, framing, valence and engaged stakeholders in reporting a pandemic. It compared the Swine flu of 2009 to the Corona Virus. It was found that during the coronavirus, more use of framing and fake news was done whilst reporting less neutral. Especially during the start of the pandemic these concepts were apparent. |
