Abstract:Vessels entering and leaving a port follow a route consisting of waypoints. When a vessel is at one of these waypoints the vessel traffic service system needs to know the estimated time of arrival to the next waypoints. This research compares a variation of machine learning models in order to find the model best suited for short term vessel ETA prediction.
