| Abstract: | This thesis concerns the implementation of an ERP system to gain insight into the inventory management of Matco International. The problem statement that is assessed is: "How can Matco International gain insight into the performance of their inventory management for Deventer and Waalwijk through the implementation of AFAS?" A theoretical framework is constructed to identify the current situation, the desired situation and the opportunities and constraints of the EPR system. This data is used to redesign inventory-related processes using business process re-engineering. Moreover, business intelligence options in the ERP system are assessed to gain insight into inventory management. |
