Abstract: | The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the Fast Growers Program, a training program developed by Ernst & Young (EY) which helps the fastest growing entrepreneurs of the province of Overijssel in their development process. This explorative research has a striking element since it highlights two different but at the same time coherent perspectives. Not only has a tool been developed based on preliminary research to facilitate the evaluation process; the first draft of the tool is actually applied during the research as a mid-term evaluation. The ability to draw proper conclusions regarding the successes and weaknesses of the program requires asking relevant questions to the involved parties in order to expose their genuine experiences and thoughts. However, it appeared that the four levels of the Kirkpatrick method led to the collection of irrelevant data while conducting the interviews, which adds up to the confusion created while formulating the questions beforehand. These findings led to the development of a modified version of the tool, which could be applied by EY in the future. |
