Abstract: | Since the change from Siemens to VDL in 2018 a different and less costly approach to operations is needed within VDL Energy Systems in Hengelo. Within this research the process from receiving an order to shipping it for the labyrinth product group has been evaluated, so that the number of working hours that are needed for this process are reduced. The process has been mapped and with the use of Lean Manufacturing theory the process is analysed. In this analysis all the non-value activities or 'waste' were identified and solutions were drafted to eliminate this waste. Next to that, other solutions to reduce working hours have been constructed. |
