Abstract: | For the 5G NR, as defined by 3GPP, the importance of over-the-air testing has increased. Two main reasons can be identified for this change. Due to the introduction of massive-MIMO, it is not cost effective to have connectors on every RF path. Additionally, the move to mm-wave and the accompanying miniaturization of the connectors, makes it impractical to fit physical connectors in the design. Thus, OTA measurements have to be used to characterize devices. Several measurement chambers and setups exits to perform over-the-air measurements. |
