Abstract: | Lifelong learning and digitalization of education have become increasingly common in the Netherlands in recent years. This thesis analyses the economic feasibility of developing academic level digitalized lifelong learning as a university in the Netherlands. A seven-step scenario model is used as a tool to develop strategies for the year 2030. The actors, factors, trends and uncertainties of the Dutch lifelong learning landscape are analyzed in order to develop three scenarios for 2030. This thesis specifically analyses the economic feasibility for the University of Twente. The results of this thesis can however be applied to any academic university in the Netherlands. |
