Abstract: | The assignment focuses on the development of a quality indicator for the railway switches of ProRail. Currently, the quality of the railway switches is assessed based on the geometric measurements of the railway switches. Consequently, a lot of data is stored about different types of geometric properties measured on different positions at a railway switch. However, this data does not provide a clear insight into the overall quality of a railway switch. Therefore, the development of a quality indicator is proposed as solution, which can be used to aggregate all the measurement data into a single quality indicator, so that the overall quality of a railway switch can be assessed. |
