Abstract: | This thesis is about increasing the efficiency of the in-house inventory supply chain at Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST). MST is a hospital that is located in Enschede, the Netherlands. Several problems are solved in the ordering, picking, and delivery processes in order to increase the efficiency of the in-house supply chain. Proposed solutions to the problems at the ordering process are built upon the periodic review model and the economic bin quantity model. Solutions for the problems at the picking process are proposed with the use of the interaction frequency heuristic and the problems at the delivery process are developed with the use of new delivery routes. These proposed solutions are compared to each other. |
