Abstract: | The presence of software design with the study Creative Technology is examined. An opportunity for the curriculum is identified, where the addition of software design could benefit students following the program. By conducting interviews with alumni and teachers and hosting a survey for all Creative Technology students and alumni, common opinions and possible solutions are extracted. These findings are summarized in chapters 4 and 5. Iteratively, a design is created for a software design workshop. The workshop takes two days and takes place in the third module of Creative technology. The manual for the workshop is described in chapter 6. Due to the impossibility of testing the workshop in its intended environment, an evaluation workshop is set up based on the ideas for the original software design workshop. Additionally, Teaching Assistants and teachers give feedback on the design during evaluation sessions. These sessions are described in chapters 7 and 8. The final design for the software design workshop is described in chapter 9. In chapter 10, the design itself and the process of creating the design are reflected upon and in chapter 11 future research directions are presented. |
