Abstract: | The traditional testing of a frequency response usingcontinuous waves has proven to be insufficient for characterizingcurrent sensors. A new method is being developed that usessquare waves and the Fourier transform to obtain a frequencyresponse that more accurately represents the behaviour of thecurrent transducer. In this paper, an example is given on howto obtain spread out measurement points by choosing the basefrequency of the square waves. It is found that distributingthe base frequencies of these square waves equally over thebandwidth of interest on the logarithmic scale gives a fairly gooddistribution. |
