| Abstract: | The materials that IMD uses show increased failures per year. The breakdown of the items causes high downtimes and high costs. In this case, the UV-vis sensor is selected as an item. A model is created with the available failure data to calculate the optimal replacement age with a Weibull distribution. This replacement age is then used as input for the inventory part, which results in calculated safety stocks and an order-up-to level. |
