| Abstract: | The aim of this research is to solve the action problem of Gunnebo Doetinchem. Gunnebo Doetinchem has the problem of a high metal waste rate. The goal is to reduce the waste rate of metal with 5%. To solve this problem first the process of production is investigated. Besides the investigation of the production process, a systematic literature review is conducted to find tools and methodologies which could help in determine the causes of the problem, solving the problem and testing solutions. After that, the waste streams of the company are analyzed. Based on these outcomes, solutions are provided for reducing the waste of the waste streams with the highest contribution. Finally, one solution is chosen for further implementation and is evaluated on stated KPIs. |
