Abstract: | This research aims to give insights in a difficult to measure and inconsistent throughput time at Prinzen. Prinzen is a company specialized in egg handling equipment. They want to be eggficient, this means having a throughput time of 4, 8, or 12 weeks. The classification of the orders is based on the complexity of the order. The designed method consists out of five steps. The first step is to analyse the order process flow. The second step is to identify key performance indicators (KPIs). Since there is no data available for this particular company case the third step is to create dummy data. The fourth step is to create a dashboard with the output of all the previous steps. The fifth and last step is to evaluate the output of the solution method with the stakeholders. A big limitation of the research was the lack of data to analyze the throughput time, however with dummy data a dashboard was created to show how the throughput time can be monitored. In future research the dashboard can be implemented based on real data from the company. |
