| Abstract: | Within this thesis, the current status of Service Design is explained regarding the servitization process within the technological developed manufacturing industry. Currently, there is no academic paper addressing both the role of service design and industry 4.0 technologies within the servitization process. By interviewing service design experts it gets clear that service design is only used correctly very recent within organizational transformations such as servitization. Therefore, service design is developing in the right direction , which may lead to board positions for service designers in the future. |
