Abstract:Currently, the configuration of the transportation and external warehousing process of Euroma leads to sub-optimal values for the KPIs "total costs", "sustainability", and "supply chain complexity". In our study, we optimize the transportation and external warehousing process by using a MILP-model, in which we, amongst others, determine the transportation companies and external warehouses that should be used. Our MILP-model shows that we can realize an improvement of 31.6%, 58.3%, and 53.8% on the KPIs "total costs", "sustainability", and "supply chain complexity", respectively.
