Abstract: | European welfare states are known for their concern for disabled persons and for the labor reintegration policies that are implemented to end the stigmatization and discrimination against them present in the social mainstream and lead to their social integration in the labor market. This research paper will analyze the benefits of these labor reintegration policies with regard to the political vision embedded in the policy language deployed in the policy discourses targeting the social integration of disabled persons in the welfare state countries. To sum up, the evaluation of the relevant policy documents (studies, strategies, reports, acts, action plans, evaluations, etc.) and the content analysis of the academic literature concerning the utopian vision of the policymakers will lead to the understanding of the envisioned benefits and their dimensions as well as their implications for a variety of government sectors. |
