Abstract: | To maintain providing accessible high quality healthcare, hospitals have to use their resources efficiently. This resulted in a shift from providing care at the hospital to the patient’s home. Receiving medication at home could have benefits for patients. This study aimed to get insight into the expectations and experiences cancer patients have about receiving intravenous medication at home. To get this insight qualitative research was performed. The expectations and experiences cancer patients have were overall positive, but also recommendations for improvement were made. |
