Abstract: | In my master thesis project, I have modelled Ubbink's future replenishment system. The idea is as follows; the tugger trains replenish the assembly lines with full component bins and take empty bins from the assembly lines. These empty bins have a Kanban card attached to them. Based on the information on the Kanban cards, new full component bins are picked at the Lean Supermarkets, with whom the assembly lines need to be replenished again. I give recommendations on how this future material supply system should be arranged, on a tactical level. |
