Abstract: | Data visualization is very useful for humans to read and understand data. Dashboards, a data visualization tool have a huge potential to be of high value to the healthcare sec- tor. A dashboard development methodology, applicable in the healthcare sector has not been identified in the current literature. This research proposes such a methodology and identify challenges and opportunities, which might emerge during dashboard development in health-care settings. This research was specifically focused on nursing homes in the Netherlands. In many Dutch nursing homes however, it was found that data quality and reliability regarding healthcare quality is currently not sufficient to make reliable data analysis. |
