Abstract: | Company X is a supplier of sheet metal and metal compositions. They are specialized in a broad range of areas: sheet metal working, welding, powder coating, assembly, cleanroom, and bonding. In the assembly department, the workers assemble the product, which consists mainly of metal parts, and attach parts like screws, hinges, and handles. The ventures of the assembly department are increasing over the years, whereby the workplace is becoming too busy. To ensure that the assembly department can provide the same level of quality and service in the coming years, it needs to streamline its processes, minimize its space usage and promote productivity for the workers. |
