Abstract:This research is executed at Company X. Company X has introduced a new business intelligence (BI) system containing dashboards for the sales department. However, the company notices that employees tend to use the former BI system which results in Power BI not being used to its full potential. The underlying problem is that the key performance indicators (KPIs) presented in the current dashboards do not present the desired insights and the designs of these dashboards are complicated resulting in low user acceptance. This study provides Company X with a list of KPIs which are relevant for the sales department, as well as four new dashboard designs containing these KPIs. Implementing these dashboards is expected to improve user acceptance.
