Abstract:The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the impact of embodied learning with an Active Floor intervention (an interactive playground that uses a 3D camera and projection material) on an overall child’s development that includes physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. This study used mixed methods with a quasi-experimental design. The research was conducted in two primary schools with nine students in an experimental group and twenty students in a control group. The result showed that embodied learning with Active Floor intervention showed a significant improvement in the child’s development when compared to the control group in four weeks. Moreover, the qualitative data also provided insightful information regarding embodied learning and classroom contexts. However, the limitation of this study was the small sample size of the experimental group.
