| Abstract: | A method for extraction of the human brain ventricles in MR images is described. The proposed method is a fuzzy clustering algorithm combined with a region growing operation. The fuzzy clustering takes neighboring voxels in account for calculating the partitions, making it less susceptible to image noise and field biases. The region growing operation allows the extraction of the proper parts of the ventricles. This method does work, but has some flaws and needs some more fine-tuning. |
