Abstract: | Linguistic Alignment (LA) and Linguistic Style Matching (LSM) are phenomena in dialogue that have both been measured in many human dialogue studies. LA has also shown to be useful in Human Agent interaction. On the surface, LA and LSM seem similar, in the sense that they share conceptual characteristics. However, a detailed review of the similarities of LA and LSM is missing, as well as a contemporary review on the state of the art of LSM. In the current research, a Systematic Literature Review is executed to review the state of the art of LSM and similarities between LSM and LA. Furthermore, it is reviewed how LSM could be useful in the context of Human Agent interaction, similar to how LA sees its use in Human Agent interaction |
