Abstract: | In this research, we will discover the focus areas for innovation within the Cervical Cancer Brachytherapy treatments in academic European hospitals. We do this by sending out a survey to several European academic hospitals asking out how long each sub-step takes and by analyzing these results. Firstly, we analyze the results based on the time they take. Besides, we analyze the impact on the costs, when innovations are done for these long-taking sub-steps, by the means of a spreadsheet simulation. Eventually, based on these preliminary numbers, three sub-steps stand out when it comes to the overall time, of which one sub-step stands out most from a financial perspective. These three sub-steps should thus be the main focus area for innovation. |
