Abstract: | In time-of-flight-based radio localisation systems where the transmitting and receiving nodes are physically distributed, it is important that their clocks are synchronised accurately. Any time offset between the clocks will contribute directly to an error in the observed range. Global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals can be used as a common time reference for the radio nodes. This thesis addresses the time synchronisation of software-defined radio platforms using GNSS receivers, for the purpose of radio localisation. |
