Abstract:This study examines the perception of businesses towards the B Corp certification, which signifies a successful completion of the B Impact Assessment (BIA). The assessment evaluates sustainable business practices across five areas: Government, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. The study aims to provide insights into the current perception of the B Corp movement and how to increase the value of the B Corp certification in B2B relations. A mixed method research approach was employed, involving qualitative interviews and a survey. The findings suggest that improving and providing more substantive information about the B Corp movement is key to enhancing its perceived value. Furthermore, it recommends that B Corp certified companies should require their partners, clients, suppliers, and agencies to meet the B Corp requirements, thereby expanding the movement's impact and credibility while encouraging other corporations to align their policies. This study contributes to the B Corp literature by offering a contemporary understanding of its perception and emphasizes the importance of spreading comprehensive knowledge about the movement. Additionally, it highlights the potential in B2B relationships as B Corp companies influence each other through their shared commitment.
