Abstract: | This thesis aims to examine the impact of cashless societies on businesses and society. To achieve this a literature review has been conducted to explore the benefits, drawbacks, privacy/security risks, and financial inclusion implications associated with cashless systems. The findings revealed that cashless systems offer several advantages such as increased efficiency, cost savings, improved security, and customer convenience for businesses. In society, cashless systems help to promote financial inclusion, reduce cash-related crimes, and drive technological advancements. However, privacy risks, digital literacy barriers, and access disparities pose challenges. |
