Optimal Transport and the Structure of Cities

In this project, we will learn the basic tools of Optimal Transport necessary to understand the theory of urban planning with the goal of designing a mathematical city model based on realistic assumptions that include suitably chosen policies and constraints. Next to this, we will make additions to this model to make it applicable to more situations.
