Abstract:This case study offers a cross-country analysis of students’ technology acceptance in Germany and the Netherlands. It applies the General Extended Technology Acceptance Model for ELearning (GETAMEL). Data from three cohorts of the binational joint degree “Public Governance Across Borders” (PGaB) was collected via an online survey. Hypothesis testing was conducted using bivariate, multiple regression and moderation analysis followed by textual analysis. The findings indicate that within the PGaB students Experience, Self-Efficacy and Perceived Usefulness significantly influence the Behavioural Intention to use Learning Management Systems (LMS). From the textual analysis, it can be derived that Design, Usability, Technical Features and Study Organisation are the most crucial categories students use to evaluate LMS. In this specific case, they ranked Canvas higher than Learnweb.
