Abstract: | For the treatment of patients with anemia in chronic kidney disease (CKD) a new drug class, hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors (PHI) recently entered the Dutch healthcare market. In this study the budget impact as a result of the implementation of daprodustat (Jesduvroq), an oral drug belonging to this class, compared to the current standard of care (SoC) in adult patients with anemia from CKD stages III to V in The Netherlands is analyzed. |
