A Literature-based Approach to Improving the Digital Matchmaking Tool of BedrijvenWijzer

The BedrijvenWijzer is a digital matchmaking tool aimed to match and introduce job or (graduation) internship seeking students in the region of Twente to local companies and organizations. It is aimed to be an answer to the problem that highly educated students tend to leave the region as soon as they graduate, disregarding the companies in the region as options. This thesis provides BedrijvenWijzer with new, by fit literature supported indicators and measures for different facets of person environment fit. Among these, the most contextually important for BedrijvenWijzer were shown to be indicators personality congruence, KSA demand-abilities fit, value congruence, time demand-abilities fit and growth opportunities needs-supplies fit. A variety of possible measures and usable matchmaking methods are explored.
