Abstract:Company X is a laboratory. Every day, they receive a lot of samples to be analyzed. However, they experience that their lead times are higher than they promise their customers. That is why they needed a performance measurement system to identify the bottlenecks in the process. First, relevant KPIs needed to be selected. Secondly, the performance measurement system, chart types, and layout were determined. Thirdly, the dashboard was designed in Power BI, using timestamps resulting from their track-and-trace system. Finally, the dashboard was evaluated regarding its capability to identify bottlenecks and regarding the ease of use and usefulness for the future users.
