Abstract:The primary objective of this project was to integrate the Pulseq Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) sequence design platform into a Siemens Aera AG clinical MRI scanner (1.5T). This was accomplished by modeling and modifying a clinical Turbo Spin Echo (TSE) sequence commonly used for prostate imaging, with the assistance of the Pulseq platform. The sequences were generated and analyzed using MATLAB, and the modified variants were uploaded to the MRI scanner. An MRI phantom served as the imaging object, and the acquired data were thoroughly analyzed to draw conclusions regarding the efficacy of the modifications, the sequence modeling process, and the resulting image quality. The successful implementation of the Pulseq platform on the scanner enabled the desired sequence modifications. However, the image quality of the modified sequences fell short compared to the existing clinical TSE sequence.
