Abstract:Company X, a provider of financial services to businesses, relies on Application Y as it is an essential cloud-based platform for auditors to request services from supporting departments. There are concerns regarding the efficiency of the application, which initiates this research effort and prompts the question of how company X can optimize the requesting procedure of Application Y. In this pursuit, I analyzed the current system by creating a Business Process Model Notation (BPMN). Furthermore, in-depth interviews with auditors were conducted to identify common problems and the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ) was employed to quantitatively assess the application according to the attributes of usability, which also supports the findings of the interviews. This research highlights the challenges faced by auditors when using Application Y. With the findings of the interviews and surveys, recommendations are provided to optimize the usability, particularly the efficiency and effectiveness, of Application Y.
