Personality Type Diversity Management : The effect of personality type diversity management on team performance.

Leuverink, Jaap (2023)

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between team members' awareness of their fellow teammates' personality types and their potential impact on overall team performance. To achieve this, a unique experimental approach is employed, namely an escape room experiment. While the initial results suggested a positive correlation between team members' awareness of each other's personality types and team efficiency and effectiveness, the findings could not attain statistical significance. Additionally, the experiment failed to provide conclusive evidence supporting the notion that awareness of team members' personality types positively influences team performance. As a result, further research is necessary to comprehensively address the research question. This paper has expounded upon the research question, discusses the limitations encountered during the study, proposes practical applications of the research findings, and states future research opportunities.
